Attached is another EA which I made.
The EA began as a follow up to Shuhan Hedge EA X-2.
Most of you have feedback to me that the trading costs and latency and other broker conditions have made the Hedge EA unable to work for you in live.
Therefore, I made a hefty decision to go back to my workstation and made an EA that caters to the following criteria:
1. Must be able to have a reasonable frequency of trades, preferably can see results intraday
2. Should not have a large drawdown, and can reverse positions on wrong trades
3. Can cater to spreads above 1 pip and trading commissions that are high, Eg. $8 per lot on Pepperstone
4. Should not have to modify orders to prevent server from blocking the user's IP address
5. Should not use orders that will be destroyed by slippage in real life
6. Should have a reasonable risk to reward ratio and accuracy that works out in the long run
7. Should be able to work on minimal account sizes such as $10
Coincidently, I received a S&R indicator from a member in the forum.
The indicator looks good - too good to be true. Looking at the code, I then discovered that it actually "cheats" by reading historical prices. So, in order not to make this a backtest toy, I have modded the code and make it paint real time to market ticks. It does repaint in the real world and so does it in the backtest. It will most probably behave similarly in the real world.
Attached are 2 files.
Put the EA into the experts folder. You can run using default settings. Time is M5. I recommend EU or GU. Feel free to test the settings to your preference.
Put the Indicator into the indicators folder. You DO NOT have to load the indicator on the chart for the EA to work. In fact, it works better without it, as the indicator is intensive after modifications.
My main trading computer is down at the moment (There goes my Intel Xeon E5!) and the backtest is very slow on my laptop, albeit an i7 with 16gb of RAM. Problem is that MT4 only uses a single-core and no multi-threading. Oh well.
Kindly do a backtest on it on M5 charts and share it. The more you feedback, the better this will get.
I've setup a tiny live account at Pepperstone to test it live starting from market open.
